Kara has over 15 years’ experience, planning, monitoring, and evaluation experience. She has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and systems thinking. She now applies these skills to support organisations large and small, in a range of settings and sectors (including government, not-for-profit, and tertiary education sectors) to design and implement sustainable ‘fit-for-purpose’ self-monitoring and evaluation systems. Kara is a highly skill facilitator, mentor, and trainer, enabling her to effectively support organisations grow their capability and capacity to do this ‘for themselves’. Kara has a PhD (University of Queensland) in Integrated Conservation and Development, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma (Distinction) in Environmental Science, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Zoology, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management (University of Otago). She is also the regional convenor of the Wellington New Zealand AES branch.
