Josephine Norman
DHHS Manager, Centre for Evaluation and Research
Melbourne
I’m endlessly optimistic about our profession & the ways in which we can contribute to better outcomes, particularly in my context, for vulnerable Victorians. I’m always interested in finding new ways to give better advice, based on increasingly good evidence. I am fortunate to work inside one of Australia’s largest government departments, Department of Health & Human Services in Victoria, as part of a large Centre for Evaluation and Research. Every day I get to work on hard problems that have real work implications. Come find me if you are interested in my experience of working inside the belly of the beast and how it compares to long previous stints in academic & consulting roles. I’ll be seeking you out if you are doing cool things to up the evidence you are generating, particularly in the human services space. Also, we might need a whiteboard. It’s my happy place.
