Ariane Hermann
Attorney-General's Department Assistant Secretary
Canberra
Starting my career as an organisational and counselling psychologist, I joined the Commonwealth Public Service in 2009. I have had a range of positions across the Attorney-General's Department, including leading the development of a National Impact Assessment Framework and a National Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Disaster Recovery (see more here https://knowledge.aidr.org.au/me-recovery-outcomes-search/). More recently, I have been responsible for Commonwealth program and policy regarding legal assistance, including management of a National Partnership Agreement on Legal Assistance Services (NPA) worth $1.3billion. This NPA was recently evaluated in a joint project with state and territory governments and the legal assistance sector. I am particularly passionate about social policy, client centered and informed design and outcomes based frameworks.
