Robert Grimshaw is an experienced project and evaluation manager with a demonstrated history of working in various social and economic subject areas across government. He works effectively with all stakeholders to deliver outcomes by bridging the gaps between government, delivery partners and research and evaluation experts.
For over three years, he managed the evaluation and monitoring framework the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Working with the Games partners and stakeholders, Robert provided the program evaluation and research expertise to undertake internal reporting and guide external analysis of the economic, social and cultural legacy benefits from hosting the Games.
Robert is now the Evaluation Manager for the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland initiative, a $755 million investment to drive innovation in Queensland. He has worked in various other evaluation, research and policy roles across the Queensland Government covering projects on child safety and family support, alcohol-related violence and youth justice. Robert completed tertiary studies at Griffith University, graduating with a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice with Honours which provided a strong basis in social science research methods.
