Samantha Togni is an evaluation and social research consultant based in Alice Springs. She has more than 20 years’ experience in Indigenous health and wellbeing research and evaluation, working with rural and remote Aboriginal organisations in northern and central Australia. Her most recent work includes program and developmental evaluations for the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Women’s Council as well as the developmental evaluation of a new model of care within an urban Indigenous health service for people living with chronic disease.
Samantha’s interests and expertise in evaluation include developmental evaluation and realist evaluation using mixed methods and participatory approaches. She is passionate about evaluation capacity development and utilisation-focussed evaluation that informs strategic decision-making and planning and promotes an organisational learning culture. Samantha is currently undertaking a PhD through RMIT University exploring the use of developmental evaluation.
Samantha is a member of the Australasian Evaluation Society, the American Evaluation Association and the Canadian Evaluation Society.
