Ulla Keech-Marx is an experienced international development professional with specialist expertise in MEL, gender equality and governance. She holds post-graduate qualifications in Evaluation and Asian Studies (Indonesia). She has a particular interest in strategic MEL, politically-astute iterative adaptive approaches to aid and development, and working in close partnership with local change agents to bring about positive change, especially in the areas of women's empowerment and gender equality. She is currently on leave from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade where she was most recently working as a performance and gender advisor on Australia's aid programs to Afghanistan and Pakistan. She is currently working at Coffey International Development as a Principal Consultant in the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Practice.
