Yonas Dare is Monitoring and Evaluation Lead at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). ASRC is Australia’s leading human rights organisation providing support to and empowering people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social wellbeing. The ASRC is supported by a community of committed volunteers and supporters.Mr. Dare plays a vital role as an internal evaluator ensuring the effective implementation of the organisation’s strategy through facilitating the process of embedding and aligning programs to the outcomes measurement framework of the ASRC, collecting and collating relevant data as well as facilitating internal learning through running evaluation and research community of practice.He also conducted research on human rights based approach as an associate investigator in collaboration with CSI-Swinburne University. Mr. Dare holds Master’s Degree in GIS, specializing in Planning and Coordination (ITC, Netherlands) and Master of Advanced Studies in International Security (Geneva University). He has extensive experience managing programs, monitoring and evaluating multi-donor funded programs and teaching Program Design & Management in Ethiopia prior to arriving in Australia.
